Professional Background

As an active member in the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), the Pacific Northwest chapter of the Association for College Admission Counseling (PNACAC), and an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), I faithfully uphold the ethics standards known as the Statement of Principles of Good Practice (HECA, PNACAC) and the IECA Principles of Good Practice.

I received my B.A. in Communication from the University of Puget Sound and graduated with a M.A. in Education from Seattle University’s Student Development Administration program. The background in student development gives me a unique perspective on how student services and student programming can enhance a student’s college experience.  As an undergraduate I was a student-athlete competing in Varsity Crew.  I use that first-hand experience of balancing school, athletics and work to illustrate a realistic perspective of college life to your student. 

I have completed courses from the UCLA College Counseling Certificate program and, most recently, completed the IECA Summer Training Institute; a  highly selective program for newer educational consultants.
